We would love to equip and empower you to do every good work on campus. Here’s some campus promotional information to help you.

Ideas to advertise your Community Group around campus:

• Chalk on campus sidewalks, like in front of the Student Union or by your Target Area dorm.

• Post flyers in dorms or in the Student Union (see below on how to get it approved).

• Go “tabling”! You don’t need a table to do this, just a positive attitude and some free swag. Pass out pop-tarts or granola bars close to your Target Area. Get students’ phone numbers and invite them to your community group.

  • Some great areas we’ve used in the past are in front of Ag Hall, North Dining, and beside Kerr-Drummond.

  • To set up an actual table, you’ll need permission from the Union Meeting/Conference Services. We recommend no table! You don’t need permission to meet students and pass out free swag.

  • Brooke and Taylor have seen lots of success in this!

Posting flyers around campus: 

• We have a Cru Canva account if you want to create any flyers (ask staff for the log-in). 

• Print your flyers at Fedex (don’t forget to use the Cru non-profit discount, ask staff for help).

• Get your flyers approved and stamped at the Union Meeting/Conference Services room. It’s located next to the first floor restrooms of the Student Union (behind Chick-fil-a). 

  • You’ll fill out a sheet of paper that Union Services will document before you can post flyers. 

  • Be specific about where the flyers will be placed and for how long they’ll be there.

• Once you get them stamped, place them at the appropriate area(s).

• It might be hard to get into a freshman dorm to post flyers. Ask a new freshman friend to help (this is a great way to give them an inside look into Cru!).

FAQs

Need something from the storage unit? 

We have things like speakers, microphones, table decorations, sharing tools, name lanyards, outdoor games (for first week events), and more. Don’t buy something without first checking the storage unit (and asking staff).

Aaron, Walt, and Brandon have keys. Please text one of them for access. 

Want to host a Super Bowl Party, Halloween party, or CG mixer?

Go for it! You don’t need staff’s permission to have a "Cru" event. We want to help you make it happen! Feel free to borrow speakers, games, decorations or anything else we have to take your event to the next level.

Talk to Cru Party Planning Leaders if you want it to involve the larger Cru movement.

Need to reimburse a meal for a student follow-up (or a snack for your community group)?

Here’s the Cru Cash Reimbursement Form for this school year.

Simple Guidelines: If you can answer 'Yes' to these questions you’re good to go:

1. Was this a follow up with a new student or did you meet with someone from your CG or Greek Wide for the first time?

2. Did you share what Cru is about and/or bring up spiritual topics?

If you spend more than $75, please include a picture of your itemized receipt -- the one with the list of drinks/food purchased.

If you are spending money for your Community Group (like a weekly snack), you can use that link as well. Simply follow the instructions. 

We want to be good stewards of what God has given us for our campus ministry funds. Stewardship is managing God’s blessings God’s ways for God’s glory. God commands us to be stewards over everything He blesses us with and trusts us with it. So let’s steward what God has given us well so that we can bless the campus around us!
